Tsunami.. New word that I learnt recently. Its a nice word but has strong effect.. Destroying thousands in its path. Killing many in the proccess.. Cruel, Unsympathetic or plain reality? To be frank, I felt that it was a bad tragedy for those who were being killed in the process. Sympathetic for those who lost their loved one (not to be seen again). Parting was such a quick process with no warning. Pray for those who are still hanging on for their life.
Tsunami allows human to bond together and try to get over it. It once again prove that human are very adaptive animal who will change rapidly in unfavourable situation. Helps from all over the world was being initiated to those who are in dire need of neccessities such as water and food. Humanitarian groups were quick to react and lend a helping hands to the people in Aceh, Phuket, Maldives and Etc.... Give them a round of applause if u want!!
During the past weeks, I did felt sorry and sympathetic towards those who were affected by the tsunami that destroyed their families, business and life. However, i felt that this was reality, there was nothing i could do individually to help change the fact. I don't believe that by sympathising with them, their life would eventually change for the better. So there shouldnt be much sadness within us for them.. Some people must be saying that i am cold blooded (Candy). But thats me.. Since it had happen, we should accept it and find solutions to help them instead of standing there and cry for them.. Actions are louder than words.. Make your feelings count.. Stop reading my blog and make a donation.. If u had done so, u deserve a pat on ur shoulder..
Regarding the donations being made to Red Cross, I don't agree that people are actually using the Red Cross to dump their waste at their collection centres. If they had wanted to do so, why would they want to waste their time and effort to actually carry and transport their "rubbish" there instead of just dumping them at the corridor or dumps near their house. I believed that everyone was just trying to help but they do not know what to donate, so they just bring everything they thought which will be of help to the people in the affected areas.
